I was in my early twenties when I felt the city slowly draining me. The noise, the pace, the concrete — it didn’t match who I was or what I was seeking.
My body longed for wind in the dunes. For the smell of the forest after rain. For silence — the kind you can hear and feel all at once.
Vlieland called me. This island, with its endless skies, its seas of time, and its quiet connection to nature.
Here, I found space to breathe. A rhythm. A place to listen to what lives inside.
